Connecticut State Police are reporting dozens of accidents along I-95, I-84 and the Merritt Parkway.

Delays were reported on both sides of I-95 due to an accident in Westport and a multi-car crash in Norwalk near Exit 16.

Traffic is crawling along the southwest corridor and the state Department of Transportation has reported some lane closures to clear up accidents.

The National Weather Service predicted one to three inches of snow across the region with snow continuing until about 10 p.m.

It will be mostly sunny and cold New Year’s Eve with temps topping out at about 19 degrees.
