Two women were arrested after allegedly stealing merchandise from a Boscov's.

Leona Nixon, 26, and Tarrah Matthews, 18, both of New Haven, were arrested on Wednesday after Milford Police received a report of two shoplifters at the store at the Connecticut Post Mall, police said.

An investigation found the women allegedly took $270 worth of merchandise from the store without paying. Police also found that both had been banned from the mall property for one year in May.

Both were charged with larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, and criminal trespassing. They were released on a promise to appear tickets.
