Seymour, 47, backed up into another vehicle while at a stop sign on an I-95 south exit ramp at about 9:25 p.m. Friday, NBC said.
She refused to take a field sobriety test, and state police told NBC that her eyes were bloodshot, she was "unsteady on her feet" and she smelled like alcohol.
State Police charged her with driving under the influence of alcohol and unsafe backing. She was released on $500 bond for a Feb. 2 court appearance, NBC said.
Seymour is married to billionaire Peter Brant, and they live in Greenwich with their three children.
