Stamford Motorist With Hazard Lights On For An Hour Under Influence, Greenwich PD Says

A 20-year-old man was arrested for DUI and driving without a license after police received a report of a car running with its hazards lights on for more than an hour.

Greenwich Police arrested Nehemias Yac of Stamford after responding to Mead Avenue around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, to check out the report. When they arrived on the scene, officers said they could smell alcohol coming from his breath and that he failed a series of field sobriety tests.

Yac was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle without a license. 

He was released after posting $250 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 31 in Stamford.
