A Riverside man was busted for drunk driving after slamming his car into a tree, according to Greenwich Police.
Richard Wright, 51, was arrested around 10:38 p.m. Thursday after police received a 911 and a hang-up in the area of Pilot Rock Lane. While on the way, officers noticed indications of an accident on Indian Head Road, a police report said.
When officers found Wright he was slurring his speech and unsteady on his feet. He also failed a field sobriety test, the report said.
Wright was charged with driving while intoxicated and evading responsibility involving property damaged and cited for failing to drive in the lane.
He was released on $250 bail.
