A man who was trying to pull off a switch-a-roo so he wouldn't be caught driving under the influence has been charged, according to Greenwich Police.
Scott Hyman, 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 4 a.m. Monday after officers watched as he strayed from his lane, nearly hitting the curbs on East Putnam Avenue, the arrest report said.
After pulling the vehicle over in a parking lot, the officer watched as Hyman switched seats with the passenger, the report said.
During questioning, Hyman admitted to being intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. Officers also found marijuana in the vehicle, police said.
Officers also found that he was wanted on a warrant in Bridgeport.
He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and issued an infraction for marijuana possession.
He is being held in lockup on $1,000 bond.
