A man was busted after allegedly drinking, driving into a parked car, disabling it, and fleeing the scene of a crash in Greenwich.
Members of the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to the Bruce Park Avenue Extension at approximately 3:25 a.m. on Tuesday morning, where there was a report of a crash involving a motorist who sped off.
Police said that the driver - later identified as Greenwich resident Jared Randall, 42 - struck a parked car, leaving enough damage to disable it, and proceeded to leave the scene. When approached by officers, Randall refused to submit to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and he was subsequently arrested.
Randall was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, evading the scene of a crash with injury or property damage and cited for failing to drive in his proper lane. Randall posted $250 bail and is due in court next month.
