Fugitive Wanted For Murder Nabbed In New Haven

A man wanted for murder and assault was caught by local and state police after receiving information he might be hiding out in the area.

Jamahn Johnson, 46, of Clinton, N.C., was arrested Tuesday in the area of Sherman Parkway and Willis Street in New Haven after Secret Service agents and the New Haven Police Department developed information that Johnson was in the area, Connecticut State Police said.

Through surveillance, Johnson was seen on foot in the same area and was nabbed without incident, state police said. 

Johnson is being held without bond as a fugitive from justice at the New Haven Police Department. He will be arraigned Wednesday at New Haven Superior Court.
