Two Killed, One Seriously Injured In Head-On Crash, State Police Say

Two men were killed and another seriously injured after a head-on crash late Friday afternoon in central Connecticut, state police said on Saturday morning.

Devin Gilbert, 24, of Barkhamsted and Keith Gillespie, 61, of Avon were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 4 p.m. on Route 44 in Barkhamsted, according to police.

Gillespie was traveling eastbound on Route 44 when he collided head-on with Gilbert, who was traveling westbound, police said.

Kevin Kulinski, 22, of Barkhamsted, a passenger in Gilbert's car, was flown by LifeNet Helicopter to Hartford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
