Construction Project Closing Greenwich Road Until Middle Of August

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Construction is scheduled to begin on the Old Mill Road culvert emergency replacement on Monday, July 18.

The culvert is located on Old Mill Road between North Porchuck Road and Round Hill Road, approximately 180 feet east of Old Round Hill Lane.

The road at the culvert is expected to be closed until Monday, Aug. 15.

The project design was completed by the Greenwich Department of Public Works’ Engineering Division.

The construction will be performed by A. Vitti Excavators of Stamford, with construction inspection by the Engineering Division.

During the work, a detour will be established: motorists wanting to travel eastbound on Old Mill Road will use North Porchuck Road to Porchuck Road to Round Hill Road; motorists wanting to travel westbound on Old Mill Road will utilize Round Hill Road to Porchuck Road to North Porchuck Road.
