Fairfield's 203 Brand Launches Pink Hat Sales To Help Friend Fight Cancer

FAIRFIELD, Conn. --"When Roscoe and I found out, our hearts were breaking," said Tory Brown, of Fairfield, half of the brother and sister team whose virtual company The Two Oh Three is selling pink hats to raise money for a friend's breast cancer treatment.

Stamford resident Bonnie Wilson, 25, wears a pink 203 hat on her first day of chemotherapy at Stamford Hospital this week. The hats are being sold by The Two Oh Three online company to raise money for her treatment.

That friend is Bonnie Wilson, 25, a nursing student who lives in Stamford and girlfriend of Andrew Stallings, who helps contribute to the company's marketing and social media.

"He's done so much for us. He's incredible. We wanted to do something to help Bonnie. She started her chemo this week and scheduled the treatment around a nursing exam," said Tory Brown.

Her business partner and brother Roscoe suggested the hat sales, she told Daily Voice.

"We made pink hats for a cancer awareness campaign and had some left over. Roscoe had the idea to sell the remaining hats to raise money for Bonnie," Tory related.

"Our hearts were breaking."

"We had 40 left and they sold out right away, so we have more ordered. We get orders every day. We have them on back order. We will give a hundred percent of sales to Bonnie for her medical bills. The cost for her treatment because she's so young is involved."

Because of Wilson's young age, there is additional testing and surgeries involved in this process. Before starting chemotherapy, Bonnie underwent fertility treatments and had her eggs harvested, so she can "fulfill her dream" of having children one day, Tory said.

A deeply rooted pride for Connecticut led the siblings who grew up in Westport to start The Two Oh Three.

The company sells apparel that highlights everything "203."

The lifestyle line, which began in 2014, includes shirts, hoodies, hats, cups, keychains, decals, koozies and even a doormat.
