Greenwich's Bruce Museum Puts Spotlight On Artwork By Area Students

GREENWICH, Conn. – The Bruce Museum will display the art work of local high school students during the sixth annual iCreate exhibition from June 13 through July 26.

“High school artists and volunteers have created what is now a very exciting annual exhibition for the Bruce Museum,” said Mary Ann Lendenmann, volunteer manager and new media developer at the Bruce Museum. “It’s a thrill for these young artists to be recognized, moreover we’re delighted to have their work on display in the Museum’s Bantle Lecture Gallery."

Approximately 40 works of art will be showcased at the museum. The displayed pieces were selected from more than 500 submissions by a jury of professionals after multiple voting rounds. A digital presentation will showcase the works of all participants.

First-, second-, third-place winners and honorary mention winners will be awarded cash prizes. The public will vote online at the museum's website for a People's Choice Award. The Youth@Bruce committee will select an additional award recipient.

The Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for students and seniors and free for museum members and children under the age of 5. Admission is free on Tuesdays. The Bruce Museum is at One Museum Drive, Greenwich.
