Greenwich Observes 9/11 With Memorial Unveiling, Ceremony

GREENWICH, CONN. -- Greenwich will honor the memory of those killed in the 9/11 attacks with the unveiling of a memorial and with a second ceremony.

Ceremonies in Greenwich, Conn., on Friday, Sept. 11, will mark the anniversary, and honor the victims, of the 2001 terror attacks.

The memorial will be formally unveiled at 9 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at Cos Cob Park on Sound Shore Drive.

Another ceremony honoring 9/11 victims, first responders and military personnel is set for 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11, at the Glenville Firehouse, 266 Glenville Road.

That ceremony will be hosted by American Legion Post 29, Greenwich September 11th Remembrance Committee, Glenville Volunteer Fire Company and Greenwich Fellowship of Clergy.
