FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents should remember to grab umbrellas on the way out the door Sunday, with continued rain in the forecast.

After thunderstorms and rain from Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday morning, the cloud cover should bring more showers and thunderstorms through Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered showers are possible until about 8 p.m., with partly cloudy skies overnight with a low of about 40 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 64 degrees. Temperatures will drop overnight to the mid 30s, with areas of frost possible across Fairfield County until about 8 a.m.
