FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — is it too cold to snow? Nope. Temperatures will "heat up" across Fairfield County on Friday — from the teens into the mid-20s anyway. And there's a good chance of a light snowfall just in time to mess up the commute.

The National Weather Service has issued a "hazardous weather outlook," calling for light snow to develop late Friday afternoon and continue into the evening. It calls for one to two inches of snow forecast, which could result in slippery conditions during the evening commute.

There is a 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 4 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy on Friday, with a high near 26, with wind chill values of 15 and 20.

On Friday night, there is a 50 percent chance of snow before 10 p.m. It will be cloudy, with a steady temperature of about 25 degrees, and wind chill values between 15 and 20.

And it will continue to feel like winter, which officially begins next Thursday.

Fairfield County saw the coldest temperatures of the season early Friday. Temps dipped in Danbury to 11 degrees and to 17 degrees at Sikorsky Airport in Stratford.

On Saturday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 33. But it will feel much colder, with wind chill values between 15 and 20. The wind will be 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Temps will drop Saturday night to about 17.

Sunday will be partly sunny and a high near 34 degrees, but not as windy.

There's a 30 percent chance of snow on Sunday evening.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 41.
