FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Increasing clouds on Monday will give way to a couple days of rain in Fairfield County before a warm and sunny end to the week.

The high on Monday will be near 64, but could be near 70 in some portions of the region, according to the National Weather Service. Clouds will increase from the south to the north through the day, becoming cloudy this afternoon. Monday night will also be cloudy with a low around 45, and a 50 percent chance of light rain, mainly after midnight.

Tuesday will be rainy and cool. The high will be near 51, and there will be an east wind of around 15 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. The rain will continue into the night, when the low will be around 49.

Rain is likely Wednesday before noon, followed by a chance of light rain in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Otherwise it will be cloudy, with a high near 63. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 53.

The sun will be out on Thursday, which will be mostly sunny with a high near 70. Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 55. Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 73. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. Saturday and Sunday are both expected to be sunny, with highs in the 70s.
