I remember this summer when they were cutting positions and security guards were on the list! They cut a security guard at the two larger Middle Schools leaving one in each. I think they need to add them back ASAP. I said this before and I'll say it again who in their right mind cuts protection from our children?

Mr. Napoleon Fleming,
You are so much more a part of our children's lives than I think you even realize. You have gone above and beyond your job title as security monitor and always with a smile. You assist with the morning and afternoon traffic, You sign in the tardy students and chaperone the field trips, dances and sporting events, you learn the students names and you care about their daily lives, You coach them and encourage them to be the best they can be. Yes you do keep our children safe, something that brought me peace of mind when my children attended West Rocks School. It would be much cheaper for the City to pay the salaries required for the security monitors then it would be for a lawsuit because of the lack of security. View Comment
Dr Moore....Bravo!
I couldn't agree with you more.
If I might add, It is not our job to come up with ideas to clean this whole mess. I for one do not get paid the big bucks like they do to do their job! I also know if I didn't do my job that I was hired to do I would be fired on the spot.
YES the education and safety should be the single most important responsibility of this City. It shouldn't be a matter of good or bad students it should be in the best interest of ALL students!
As for the City official who comment on the fact that people believe the City is throwing good money after bad ..SHAME ON YOU! I do not agree with you, so please do not speak for me.
