I am no fan of Moccia, but you do realize the article just quotes the mayor responding to a question about the beach, right? There is zero context here to make it seem like it was a statement of priority.
You people need to seriously control your tendencies to jump to conclusions; you're embarrassing yourselves. View Comment

Who wants a president who is pro-choice, pro-abortion?? Everything that is against what our Bible says? "

Romney has two paths to victory in the debates:
1) Go wonky. Use facts, figures, and a detailed plan. If he can hold his own, a tie goes to the challenger.
2) Lie BIG. His supporters either don't know or won't care he's lying. All he has to do is annoy Obama enough so that he loses his cool in front of the independents. View Comment
If you won't believe me, why don't you go find out for yourself? Don't rely on me or your favorite mouthpiece, look it up. Facts are facts.
Start with the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Or whatever...ignorance is bliss.
But, let's be clear, you do know that 8.3% is BETTER than 10%, correct? View Comment
In September of 2008, the United States was hemorrhaging about 400,000+ jobs a month. As of August 2012, the US is adding about 200,000 jobs a month.
That's not better? View Comment
Your ignorance is shining through again. How can you be so utterly arrogant while knowing absolutely NOTHING about anything? You try to insult me, but only show yourself to be a loud buffoon who has nothing but the most juvenile of jabs. I half expect you to write that my mother wears combat boots. You're a caricature. Wow. You're the only one displaying cluelessness here. But, ok, I'll simplify even further.
The US has a gross national debt around $15T. In your mind, to whom do we, the United States of America, owe that money? View Comment
Come on, use facts, back up your opinion. What exactly is wrong with this country? You fear debt, but you can't say why. I see that debt can be an investment in the future rather than some financial boogeyman. Debt is money we owe ourselves. In theory, using debt to invest in our future is more likely to create returns that eventually cancel out said debt. It's a tool. You simply fear it. Ok, that's your opinion, you're entitled to it, but state why. Why is debt so bad? And how is Obama's debt hurting us?
I'll back up my opinions if you back up yours. But, I doubt you will. You're a parrot. Your opinions aren't even your own...how could you possibly explain them? View Comment
Now you're just being ignorant. Purposely or not, you seem to be completely unaware of how debt works as it relates to the country. Worse, you seem to be more interested in making snarky comments than actually learning what you don't know. View Comment
Okay, question answered, you're confused.
Before we get into macroeconomic investment, consumption, transfer of resources, et al - one more question...

The Secret Service decides what gets closed when. Period. They do it for Obama, they do it for Romney too. In the past, they did it for both Bushes, they did it for Clinton, they even did it for Reagan.

"Elect them and you will pay even more in taxes and worse, in diminished political, military, economic and moral leadership as he deliberately weakens the USA."
Taxes are at their lowest level in 50 years. Our military is still stronger and better funded than the next 3 countries combined. Politically we are still number 1 around the world. Our economy, though weakened, is still doing better than most of the eurozone; even China has slowed significantly. As for moral leadership, I have no idea what you mean.
