I am beyond excited for this new rink...A much needed addition to Norwalk for many reasons! Creating jobs, Keeping kids off the street and out getting exersize, Local Hockey players finally have their own rink....I could go on forever...can't wait!! View Comment
Last year our family captured quite a few albino rabbits that someone had released into the wild to fend for themselves, and Patrick found them all homes! Love ya Patrick! you rock! keep up the great work! View Comment
If she had remained living in the Norwalk Shelter, she could have enrolled her child in a Norwalk school, but she chose to lie and said her son lived at the babysitter's address, while they really lived in Bridgeport, that in essence is stealing resources from Norwalk and I pay taxes to live here! I have friends that live in Greenwich...should I use their address to enrole my daughter in school there? It is not right, period! We all want what is right for our kids, and I understand that she is trying to better herself, but do it in the right way...it is only fair to everyone else! View Comment
LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this park, go every day if I can with my dog, have met some awesome friendly people here and the trails are a very meditative place for me when I have lots on my mind...which is always..I also bring my brother to Cranbury with his kids and their dog every time they visit from Mass. I do agree that people forget the "curb your dog rule" when it snows, which accounts for way to much "doggie waste" when the spring thaw comes around, so please pick up no matter the weather! so glad that I am a ten minute drive away! but I would visit even if I lived farther! It has always been common knowledge that Abercrombie has pushed the limit with sexuality in their ad campaigns...I see nothing wrong with a lined or padded top in a bathing suit top, as when it gets wet in the pool or ocean it can be revealing, and many girls are developing younger and younger these days...I do have a problem with a "push up" top for a eight year old...what is there to push up at that age? It is wrong on so many levels to sexualize an eight year old. But again if you do not believe in their message...DON'T SHOP THERE! it is as simple as that..the retailer will get the message...even though negative publicity will drive people into the store to see themselves what all the fuss is about..it will go away like everything else in awhile..teach your daughters to love themselves as they are, no matter their body type! I know I have! View Comment
You go Kelly! WELL SAID! I also love Norwalk and would never leave to go elsewhere. The whole situation truly saddens me, and I hope that a change will come about. I currently have a daughter at NHS. View Comment
I do realize that this is stealing, but I have to feel sorry for this woman...she is homeless, yes she could of gotten a meal from the shelter...but there has to be something else going on here.... View Comment
I often pass the memorial that was made near Oak Hills to honor Cassie and always say a prayer for her as I pass. I think that the bumper stickers have caused alot of awareness and my out of town friends always ask me what the bumper sticker means when they see it. I think the invention of an alert that would sound if a person did not "buckle up" is a fantastic idea! No one is allowed to ride in my car without their seatbelt, even just to another house on my road. Blessings to you Geary Family! View Comment
The best part of Christmas for sure for my family! I brought my daughter when she was little...and she still goes now as a teen! The Setti's is pure magic!
Merry Christmas to you both for bringing so much joy to others! View Comment
I no longer buy teacher gifts, I did when my child was in elementary school and then I always kept it small and personal, what did surprise me was the fact that many parents did not buy for the aides....and believe me, some do as much work as the teachers! But I do agree with the policy of just a hand made card, This way the parents that cannot afford to buy the teachers a gift do not feel left out by the parents that feel like they have to buy an "over the top gift" showing your appreciation does not always have to be shown by a gift! a kind word goes a million miles! There is nothing better than the unconditional love that a dog provides! After a bad day, to come home to that face and wagging tail....all the troubles of the day seem to melt away! best of luck to you Dierdre! Your life will always be blessed by adding Toccoa to your home! :) View Comment
I am voting for the Norwalk High School Marching Bears, these kids truly work hard and could use the wish list money to fund their trips and such! Please give them your vote! View Comment
