How many bomb sniffing dogs would it take to cover a 26.2 mile course to make sure that every backpack is checked at all times? Horrible event but can and will happen again as its impossible to avoid. View Comment
I like how the picture of 8 Norwalk officers hiding under an awning to stay dry is titled "officers search for evidence from a shooting"! Maybe the police union reminded them that as a union they need to take breaks every 20 minutes! View Comment
When you are nominated into the Board of Ed arent these things that you should already know and agree to do? I think it is pathetic that they have to be reminded to be polite and to remember the greatest concern is for the kids. View Comment
2012 Standings: Yankees 1st Place 95 wins, 67 losses. Red Sox Last Place 69 wins, 93 losses. 26 games worse than the Yankees.
Never were? 27 World Series Championships....
Never will be? Not this year but they will win again before the Red Sucks do. View Comment
Sad accident but it would have been nice if the responders had blocked the scene so passing trains didnt have to see the remains on the tracks. View Comment
I agree. I think we should put tolls up on the borders of the state on major highways. I dont mind just taxing out of state drivers but I doubt that will ever pass. View Comment
Golden11 is 100% correct. City employees are getting paid way to much with overtime and the result is taxpayers having to pay more. STOP SPENDING and get rid of defined benefit pension plans. View Comment
House values are flat at best. I bought in 2008 and I bet it will be 2018 before the value gets back to what I paid for it. This is a buyers market not a sellers market. Their is a backlog of properties owned by banks because they are smart enough to hold on to them for a few more years so they dont get crushed selling them now. Who is to say what caused this but Socialism will not fix any of our problems. View Comment
Can anyone explain what damage Hurricane Sandy did to the disabled visitor access and the need for another basement door at the Mansion??? This $180K is just a fraction of all of the wasted billions added to the Sandy Bill. The $34K going to fix the seawall makes sense but I dont recall hearing $180K of damage to the Mansion? The Mansion should donate the funds to fix the Norwalk pier or another Norwalk property that was actually damaged. View Comment
Monthly commuting is on average 20 to the city and 20 trips back home = 40 so it is a much better deal than 4 ten trips for $580.
The new trains help increasing the fares to make up for to much government spending is not the answer. View Comment
Lets change the criminal system so when you steal something you get your hand chopped off. Punishments are not severe enough to keep people from doing wrong. The Norwalk police are not fantastic but not even the best police force can stop random thefts. Do your part and pay attention to your neighborhood and call the police if you see something suspicious. If someone is in your property, chop their hand off! View Comment
Robin, I see your point and I'm sorry to hear about your health issues as no one with cancer, etc should be turned away. My issue is that I am middle class and because of Obamacare my health costs that come out of my paycheck as a married couple went up 25% for next year and the max costs per person if I see doctors went up 50%! And the more I make the more my healthcare costs go up with the same benefits....socialism does not work! View Comment
