Hope this includes all ….. just saying, I have seen so many on the phone when pulled up along side of me at a light or driving pass me. I never use my phone in a cars (includes a 92 Corvette), RV or even in a store, maybe that's why my driving records is squeaky clean since 1970, 44 years of driving and not even parking ticket. Looks like a dirty shady one is going on, on Central Avenue across from California Pizza. They raided that one too, but still looks open. Now this county needs to add some people to go around and check out all the Nail Salons and make sure all are "licensed" and "Legal", seems those are popping up all over too. Now with the crack down happening in NYC you will see more and more opening up in this area. View Comment
I have not stepped foot in the Galleria in over 20 years, since My Mom and I where being followed and needed a security guard to walk us out to the car. The Westchester was the only Mall I would go to, never alone thou. My husband and I have bought several watches from Tourneau. Going to be hard for them to hit a pawn shop with what they stole unless they go out of state or sell on have street. Hope they find these guy soon. View Comment
Well, I know the story all to well, she needs more than a few pieces of paper for her, her 8yo & 13yo. He already has a criminal background from several years ago. He continues to threaten the family almost on a daily bases. View Comment
We just had a Tax increase, our taxes out weigh our mortgage, and what do we get for it, nothing. I have to take our garbage down a steep 250ft driveway when dry, wet or full of snow in order for get it picked up, but wait for another $300.00 they will come up my driveway. Keep telling my husband it is time to get the hell out of NY. View Comment
Thank you all for coming forward, all these stores need to be stopped from opening. Problem is landlords and politicians are all about the Taxes, they don't care as long as the property has renters.
Need to start sending letters, etc. to the town Supervisors, like Paul Feiner, since most are in his town, etc. When it comes down to it, the local governments only care about the finally dollars "TAXES", they only care that stores are no empty, they do not care about the welfare of an animal, and I can bet not one owns a dog or a cat and if they do, they are what we "Dog People" call "Pet People" just own and could care less. My dogs live better than some of the kids and adults in this county. Reason why there are so many stores out there, stupid people believe in the entire Designer Dog BS, it's a mutt people, you are paying more for a mutt from a Puppy Mill than I have ever paid for a Purebred with all the credentials and paperwork available to me. Want a dog go to the local shelter there are many looking for their forever home, and they will love you more than the mutt you just paid $900.00 - 2,000.00 for..... View Comment
Sorry will not be around this weekend, but great for you for starting this Peaceful Protest up. I just recently heard they are thinking of adding "Puppy Mill Store" on Central Avenue, south of Curry Chev. and right next to my groomer Best Friends View Comment
Who cares where it is located, "It's a PUPPY MILL", that's what we are talking about. True "Dog People" do not buy from them, and if Greenburgh or White Plains, and we all know they are, especially in Greenburgh, it's about the bottom figures, then they should all be a shame of themselves for supporting such a business.
Have you ever seen the condition these puppies come out of, have you ever seen or heard about all the medical issues, go ask any vet, no wait one better, I can give you all the names of Vets in this area that I know, and add all the shelter workers who see these puppies being brought in weekly to the local shelters.
Besides protesters visiting the following location this coming weekend, they should also go to Tarrytown Road and to the one on the corner of Hartsdale Avenue and Central Avenue.
It's about time these are put out of business. Maybe the reporter could do another article on the good some do when they go and adopt, from one of the local shelters in out area.
Please help us this Saturday, June 29, from 11am to 4pm, to protest the opening of the Scarsdale Puppy Shop at 1461 Weaver Street, Scarsdale NY. This store gets their puppies from puppy mills, where dogs are raised and bred in the most inhumane, cruel circumstances.
We are looking for your support to peacefully picket outside the store and hand out educational fliers starting this Saturday.
We are their voices - please join in our fight to stop puppy mills!
Are you kidding this is another Puppy Mill Store, like the above, why would you "PROMOTE" a puppy mill? The original breeder of Labradoodles has finally come out and said it was a bad idea, and that the Designers Breeds have gone to "HELL", it's just about money, not the health of dogs or their shot term future. I know for a fact so many of these "Puppy Store Puppies" are showing up in shelters. If a person wants a "PET" go to the local shelter, if you are like me show in Obedience, Agility, etc., and going for all the nice titles after your dogs name thru venues such as AKC or USDAA, NADAC, etc. then you go straight to a breeder with all the credentials and respect for their breeding practices and you purchase a long life time commitment of training, playing and working hard with your dog(s). Besides my 3 gorgeous and smart Border Collies I have purchased, I also adopted 4 wonderful, full of Love, very loyal dogs, 1 mix (16yo), 3 Australian Shepherds. Two of my adopted Aussies came with a price because we did not know the parents background, 1 with Epilepsy whom I catered years to, to keep him alive, his brother whom I just lost in 2012 (9yo) to Hemangeosarcoma cancer within in 3 short weeks. Because of him I started a Canine Cancer chapter in Westchester, NY. Last final comment, go back and do all your research on these stores, they are all liars, they will sell you anything you and your child wants to hear, and then when all that goes down the tube, send that pet off to a shelter, so that real "Dog People" pick up the pieces.
