DOT: Wet Cement Caused Morning Delays On I-95 In Stamford

Update: STAMFORD, Conn. — Two lanes of I-95 reopened after a morning closure due to a wet cement spill on the highway in Stamford on Thursday morning, the Department of Transportation said.

Two lanes of I-95 south were closed between Exits 9 and 8 while the cleanup work was done from about 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., DOT said.  

State police and DOT trucks blocked the lanes while DOT crews worked. 

The work had caused morning rush-hour delays for nearly 4 miles from Exit 9 down to Exit 5 in Stamford, DOT said.
