Youth Basketball Clinics Starting In Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Department of Parks and Recreation announced that Youth Basketball Clinics will begin at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center on Thursday, Jan. 28, and run through Friday, March 11.

The clinics will be held in the Bendheim Western Civic Center Gym. Registration began on Monday, Jan. 4, by mail only. Walk-in registration at the Civic Center started this Monday.

The program for children ages 5 and 6 will run from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Children ages 7 and 8 will meet from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., and children 9 and 10 meet from 5:15 to 6 p.m. The cost for the program is $110

John Czarnecki will teach this junior basketball class. Czarnecki is certified by the State of Connecticut, and has coached for more than 25 years. He has coached for the Greenwich Basketball Association, Greenwich Flame travel team, Greenwich Boys and Girls Club, and the freshman, JV, and Varsity Basketball teams at Greenwich High.
