Brucker has already collected more than $2,500 in donations, and he hopes to raise a total of $5,000 by race day. Brucker ran in the New Jersey Marathon last year and raised $2,5000 for the agency. He finished in 3:41:56. “Adding a fundraising component to my marathon training keeps me motivated – especially on those days when I don’t feel like going out on the road,” he said.

“As a father of two young boys, I’ve seen firsthand how a preschool experience can set kids up for future academic success. I’m thrilled to run this race so that Family Centers can offer this opportunity to more families.” Donations can be made online. All donations are 100 percent tax-deductible. Family Centers is a private, nonprofit organization offering education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County.
