Greenwich Girl Helps Soccer Team Win R.I. Tourney

WESTPORT, Conn. – Girls from Westport, Fairfield and Greenwich were among the players on a Connecticut team that won the Rhode Island Seaside Classic Soccer Tournament for 13- and 14-year-old girls.

Westport’s Julia Marino, Fairfield’s Mollie Kerrigan, Anna Glovin and Tatum Lareau, and Greenwich’s Treloara Harrisson played for the girlsCAN Football team that went 4-0 in Rhode Island. The team will play in a tournament in August in Pennsylvania.

The mission of girlsCAN is to inspire female players by setting a high standard in the women's game. All girlsCAN coaches are female and have played at the highest levels of women's soccer. More information about girlsCAN is available on its website and Facebook page.
