Stamford's Chelsea Piers Unveiling Tennis Programs

STAMFORD, Conn. — Chelsea Piers Connecticut will host an information session for its tennis programs Saturday, June 16, at the club’s new facility in Stamford.

The Junior Information session will begin at 1 p.m., and the adult information session begins at 2:30 p.m. The club’s tennis programs will be led by former professional star Gigi Fernandez, a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Programs will include the Advanced Tennis High Performance Program, Squad Training, the Piers Program and 10 & Under Tennis. Fernandez will explain the club’s coaching philosophy and provide information about summer camps, private lessons, seasonal court rentals, the August Tournament Extravaganza, Social Winter Leagues and USTA programs.

The tennis staff at Chelsea Piers Connecticut will include Faycal Rhazali, Jenna Loeb, Roberto Bianco and Sarah Bluestone. Rhazali has extensive experience in Fairfield County, and has been recognized as one of the top 10 teachers in New England. He is a former tennis star at Radford University and played on several professional tours.

Chelsea Piers Connecticut is scheduled to open in July.
