USF competes in the Division I American Athletic Conference (formerly the Big East).

Boyle has been an all-league, all-section and all-state starting shortstop since eighth grade.

“I am so proud of Cassidy," Hen Hud softball coach Kurt Thomas said. "She has worked extremely hard. This is a great moment for Cassidy, our team, and the entire Hen Hud community. I wish her the best of luck and I will miss her next year.”

Boyle, a two-sport standout for the Sailors, also plays basketball for head coach Ken Sherman.

Boyle will leave Hen Hud's softball program as the all-time hits leaders and career leader in home runs.

“Cassidy has been a wonderful student-athlete for Hendrick Hudson," Hen Hud Athletic Director Tom Baker said. "I have enjoyed watching her grow into a fine young woman, who has demonstrated great leadership skills.  Her work on the softball field, and on the basketball court, is to be commended.”
