GREENWICH, Conn. – The Volvo of Stamford Greenwich Cup Triathlon takes place Aug. 7 at 6:30 a.m. at Tod's Point.
The triathlon begins with a half-mile swim at Tod's Point, followed by a 15-mile bicycle ride and a 3-mile run. The entry fee is $89.

Shane Meehan of New York finished first out of the 662 finishers last year with a time of 1:20.58. Thomas Dolan of Rockaway, N.Y. took second. Daniel Conroy of Stamford led local finishers, finishing sixth overall in 1:15.4. Megan Kelly of Stamford was the first woman to cross the finish line in 1:17.00.
