NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Cal Ripken baseball held Opening Day ceremonies Saturday at Fox Run School.

The league features more than 500 young ballplayers from age 4 to 12. Cal Ripken merged with Cranbury Baseball over the winter.

Norwalk Mayor Richard Moccia, state Sen. Bob Duff and state Rep. Lawrence Cafero were among the guests at the ceremonies, along with Norwalk Babe Ruth president Tim Hefferan.
