Greenwich's Convent Of The Sacred Heart Holds Young Women In Sports Panel

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Convent of Sacred Heart in Greenwich will host a Young Women in Sports panel discussion with a Q&A to follow on Sunday, May 17.

Katey Stone, head coach of Olympic Women's Ice Hockey (Team USA) will be at the panel discussion on May 17.

The individuals on the panel discussion will be:

  • Katey Stone, head coach of the Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey (Team USA) and Harvard Women’s Ice Hockey;
  • Whit Hagerman, assistant coach of Dartmouth Women’s Lacrosse (and former UVA lax player);
  • Jamie Phinney, player on the Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey (Team USA) and coach at Harvard Women’s Ice Hockey and Hotchkiss School Ice Hockey; and
  • Mel McLaughlin, NCAA Women’s swim coach at Wellesley College and also men’s and women’s swim coach at Middlebury College. 

The panel discussion will be held to help connect, educate and inspire middle and high school female athletes at all levels about the value of athletics in their lives.

The event will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.youngwomeninsport.com. Coaches may attend for free.
