Greenwich finished a frustrating season on Thanksgiving Day with a 27-8 loss to playoff-bound Staples. The defeat left the Cardinals at 5-5, their worst season record under head coach Rich Albonizio. Greenwich trudged through injuries that decimated the depth of the team. Heartbreaking losses to Trumbull, St. Joseph, and their first loss to Norwalk in 30 years set the tone for a disappointing year.
Greenwich still saw positives, with great performances by running backs Mark Kelley, Shane Nastahowski, and Mike Daly, cornerback Joel Arroyo, and tag-team quarterback tandem of Liam O'Neil and Dan Lombardi.
