Greenwich Lacrosse Looks To Repeat Title Run

The Greenwich High School boys varsity lacrosse team surprised just about everybody last season, bringing home their second FCIAC championship in school history. The Cardinals upended heavily favored Darien in the semifinals and took down perennial powerhouse New Canaan, 5-4, to win the title. Greenwich ultimately fell in the Class L state quarterfinals to Fairfield Prep.

In the video, head coach Scott Bulkley explains why he thinks Greenwich will not be sneaking up on anyone this season. He is confident the Cardinals can be even more successful in 2011, with solid veteran leadership throughout the roster.

Greenwich opens its 2011 schedule on Wednesday, April 6, at Westhill. The Cardinals host Darien in their first home game on Saturday, April 9.
