Greenwich High Quarterback To Compete In Showdown

GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich High School quarterback Liam O'Neil will be featured in MSG Varsity's Tri-State Quarterback Showdown, where he'll go head-to-head against other athletes at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, on Optimum Cable Channel 14.

The competition will be shown again on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, July 17, at 9:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m.
  • Friday, July 20, at 12:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 21, at 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m.

The top 24 high school quarterbacks from the New York Metro area will complete in various challenges and obstacles in which their speed, strength and accuracy will be put to the test. Former New York Giants stars Phil Simms and Amani Toomer will serve as judges for the event.

"It was an honor to be a judge at the first-ever Tri-State Quarterback showdown," said Simms in a release. "I was really impressed by these student athletes and I enjoyed getting to talk to each of them and help them with their game.
