Greenwich High Boasts Busy Holiday Sports Schedule

GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich High School athletics will be in full swing during the holiday break. Highlighting the sports festivities is the annual LaVista Holiday Basketball Tournament, starting Tuesday. Here is a look at the week's holiday sports action.

Tuesday, Dec. 27 — The Greenwich girls basketball team kicks off the LaVista Tournament at New Canaan High School at 3 p.m. The boys follow the girls at New Canaan High at 5 p.m.

The boys ice hockey team hosts Tri-Town in non-conference action at Dorothy Hamill Rink at 3 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 29 — The LaVista Tournament concludes, with the boys shifting play to Darien High School. The girls will stay at New Canaan High School. Times will be determined based on the results of Tuesday's games.

The wrestling team will host a four-team meet at Greenwich High at 10 a.m. The Cardinals take on Danbury, Harding and Norwalk.

The boys and girls indoor track teams compete in a meet at Wilton High School at 4 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 31 — The girls ice hockey team travels to Hamden for a 2:15 p.m. game.
