NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Vantage Sports Network (VSN-CT), Frontier Communications’ new local sports channel, will broadcast highlights from some of the area's biggest high school football games throughout the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Coverage kicks off at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, with a special “Football Feast” edition of "CT Sports Now," the channel’s daily sports highlights show.
On Friday, Nov. 25, VSN-CT will re-broadcast the highlights show and replay select games in their entirety.
“High school football games on Thanksgiving are a tradition that brings families and communities together in Connecticut,” said Paul Quick, senior vice president of Frontier’s Connecticut Operations. “We are delighted to bring these games and highlights to our customers and hope that everyone gets a chance to see their children, grandchildren and friends play in the big game.”
VSN-CT, which is exclusive to Frontier’s Vantage TV customers, recently launched with the goal of providing all-local youth, high school and collegiate sports coverage to customers across the state.
In addition to "CT Sports Now," the channel also broadcasts a variety of live games and replays throughout the day.
The channel broadcasts from Sacred Heart University’s state-of-the-art television studio. Content is developed by Noah Finz, with SHU students serving as field producers, directors, studio managers and editors.
