Greens Farms Boys Roll On, Winning 11th Straight

WESTPORT, Conn. — Hunter Eggers returned after missing three games with a foot sprain to lead the Greens Farms Academy boys basketball team to its 11th straight win. Eggers was on fire with a game-high 26 points, including six three-pointers, as Greens Farms downed a slumping King Low Heywood Thomas, 68-51.

Sean Obi just managed to keep his career double-double streak alive with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Patrick Ryan netted nine points, while Brian Comey added eight.

The Dragons kept King's Drew Sawyer largely in check (11 points), handing the Vikings their fifth loss in a row. Chris Gaynor had 15 and Matt Reggina added 11 for King, but Greens Farms kept the rest of the Vikings out of double-digit scoring.

Greens Farms plays a key out-of-conference game on Wednesday when it travels to Hyde School in Woodstock, Conn., for a 3 p.m. game. The winner of that contest will likely get home-court advantage in the New England Preparatory Athletic Council tournament in March.
