Greens Farms Boys Extend Win Streak to 15

WESTPORT, Conn. – Greens Farms Academy’s boys basketball team extended its win streak to 15 games behind another terrific performance from junior center Sean Obi as the Dragons beat Kingswood-Oxford, 75-57, on Friday in Westport.

Obi scored 25 points and grabbed 21 rebounds for Greens Farms, his 43rd consecutive game of double figures in both categories. Greens Farms (18-3) meets King of Stamford in the first round of the Fairchester Athletic Association playoffs on Wednesday.

Kingswood-Oxford trailed 35-34 at halftime. The Dragons rolled in the second half, finally solving a unique 1-1-3 zone. “I have to credit my assistant coach, Mike Harris for choosing the offensive schemes that we used to solve it in the second half,’’ Greens Farms coach Doug Scott said. “And I have to credit all 11 of my guys for getting in the game and making it work.”

Greenwich’s Hunter Eggers added 16 points for Greens Farms, while Darien’s Patrick Ryan added nine points and nine rebounds. Westport’s Brien Comey had eight points and 11 rebounds.
