The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual golf outing at Griffiths E. Harris Golf Course on Monday, June 28.
The outing will raise money for the Greenwich Initiative for Tomorrow, or GIFT, which aims to bring back retail stores that went out of business due to the current recession. At the beginning of this year, 22 stores were available for lease in the Central Business District. The initiative also hopes to enhance the image of the town by recognizing the importance of the middle class and growing number of minorities in Greenwich.
The outing starts at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a dinner and awards ceremony. For information on GIFT and the Chamber of Commerce, visit its website .
