Kickoff is at 10:30 a.m. at Norwalk in the crosstown match-up.

Other football games around Fairfield County scheduled for Thursday are Staples at Greenwich, Central at Harding, and Fairfield Ludlowe at Fairfield Warde, all at 10 a.m. Fairfield Prep plays at West Haven in another 10:30 a.m. contest.

The game with most statewide interest will be played in Stamford, where New Canaan kicks off against Darien at 10:30 a.m. in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference title game. Both teams enter the game undefeated, and ranked 1 and 2 in the state by MaxPreps.

Several games were switched to Tuesday or Wednesday because of predicted snow.

The Senators (7-2) could secure a state playoff berth with a win over the Bears (4-6). McMahon has won the last two meetings. McMahon coach A.J. Albano was named the FCIAC Coach of the Year earlier this week.

McMahon is currently seeded fifth in the race for the Class LL playoffs. The top eight teams in each class will make the state tournament.

Greenwich (7-3) could also secure a state tournament berth. The Cardinals, who have won seven straight games, are currently ninth the Class LL playoff chase. Staples (6-4) is seeking to avoid a five-loss season for the first time since 2008.

Fairfield Prep (7-3) is also in the race for a Class LL playoff berth. The Jesuits are currently seeded eighth as they visit West Haven (5-5).

Warde (3-5) meets Ludlowe (2-6) and Harding (3-6) meets Central (2-7) in other games that will determine neighborhood bragging rights.
