Greenwich's Longi Plans To Make Commitment Official Wednesday

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- High school football players across Fairfield County will make their college plans official Wednesday when they confirm commitments on National Signing Day.

New Canaan's Zach Allen made the biggest news among area recruits over the weekend when he de-committed from Northwestern and elected instead to attend Boston College. Allen was the Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year.

Other players from Fairfield County who figure to officially sign on Wednesday are: 

  • Fairfield Prep's Anthony Palazzolo,  Boston College
  • Fairfield Prep's Colton Smith, Fordham
  • Fairfield Warde's Brandon Bisack, UConn
  • Greenwich's Austin Longi, Fordham
  • New Canaan's Alex LaPolice, Harvard
  • Norwalk's Evan Adams, Syracuse

  • Notre Dame of Fairfield's Shea Olayos, Sacred Heart
  • Ridgefield's Andrew Chuma, Lafayette

  • Trinity Catholic's Thomas Costigan, Bryant

  • Wilton's Jack Dexter, UConn
