Western Middle School Assistant Principal Takes Ridgefield Job

GREENWICH, Conn. -- For the second time in as many weeks, a Greenwich school administrator is leaving the district.

Western Middle School assistant principal Jarret Pepe has taken the assistant principal job at Ridgefield High School, effective July 1, according to a press release.

“I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to work with the students, parents and staff over the last 12 years," Pepe said in a statement. "Greenwich, quite simply, is an amazing place to teach and learn. I will miss the Western Middle School community and will fondly remember all the smiles, laughs and lessons that I have been fortunate enough to experience as part of this district.”

Pepe began his career as an educator with the Greenwich Public Schools at Western Middle School in 2001 as a social studies teacher. He was promoted to assistant principal at Western Middle School in 2008 and added district program coordinator for social studies to his responsibilities in 2009.

“Mr. Pepe has been an exceptional leader for both Western Middle School and the district as a whole," Greenwich Superintendent of Schools William McKersie said. "I will miss his good spirit. We congratulate him on the opportunity to expand his secondary school experience and wish him all the best in his new position."
