Radhika Jones returned to Greenwich Academy, her alma mater, on Nov. 12 to talk with English classes and the Daedalus magazine staff about her career as a writer. Jones spoke about the challenges she faced as editor of The Paris Review.
"My background was in books," she said. From a young age, she was interested in living a life of the mind. "You never stop learning," Jones said. "It's a blessing of this work."
After receiving a doctorate in comparative literature at Columbia University, Jones worked for a variety of publications until she became editor of "The Paris Review." She is currently a senior editor at Time magazine and also serves on the faculty of The Writer's Institute at The City University of New York.
