Kids' Theater Benefits Early Learning Center

Children and their parents will soon be filing into Greenwich Academy's Massey Theater for a jam-packed musical variety show featuring "Duck for President & Other Story Books."

The six short stories that will be performed represent issues, themes and ideas significant in children's stories. Five cast members from Theatreworks USA will play various characters from books, including "Fancy Nancy," "Babymouse, the Musical," "I have to Go," "Leonardo the Terrible Monster" and "Pirates Don't Change Diapers."

Mary Lou Evans, director of communications at GA, said the performance will benefit the E. Kay Cowan Early Learning Center, a preschool and child care program that GA oversees. It is scheduled for Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m. The event is open to the public with tickets on sale for $25. The show is suitable for children ages 2 and up. For more information, call 203-625-8995.
