Greenwich's Class Of 2015 Says Goodbye To High School

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Eamon Cartine left his high school years behind Thursday as he and hundreds of his fellow members of the Class of 2015 graduated from Greenwich High School.

Now it's on to a new adventure for the teen, who will move to the United Kingdom in September to study at King's College London.

"It's a really good school, and it's a city I want to live in," Cartine said as his proud family looked on. He was born in London but lived there only for a few weeks before moving with his parents to the United States.

His mother Kathleen said she's happy to see Eamon graduate and move on to college. But she is still a little sad that his high school days are over and that he is moving away.

"I am going to miss him tremendously," she said. "This is what we do as parents: We raise them and let them fly away, to be independent and to see the world."

In her remarks to the graduates, dignitaries, family members and guests, gathered at the Cardinal Stadium, Class President Julia Bunte-Mein urged her fellow classmates to hold on to their memories of their time together.

"The memories that come to mind will be different for each of us but we must hold on to them tightly," she said.
