Greenwich Shows its Cardinal Pride

Greenwich High School Cardinal fans lined the sidewalks of the Avenue on Saturday to show their school spirit at homecoming. As the school marching band got the crowd going, Drum Major Will Sadock led the red-and-white procession with pride.

The class floats were pulled by red trucks and decorated with Cardinal balloons and signs and students showing off their school spirit. The class of 2011 went with a preppy theme, decking themselves out in Vineyard Vines clothing and hats, as they passed beach balls to one another.

The GHS varsity cheerleaders chanted school cheers and threw mini-footballs and candy into the crowd. The senior court and homecoming queen along with school and town administrators drove down the Avenue in antique vehicles. Elementary school students followed the parade with school banners and signs to show support.
