GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich public schools will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday, according to a statement from Superintendent of Schools, Dr. William S. McKersie.
Too many roads remain impassable for buses and pedestrians for schools to open, the statement said.
Schools are already scheduled to be closed on Tuesday because of Election Day.
Greenwich schools have been closed since Oct. 29 because of Hurricane Sandy and its damage to the town.
Several roads in town remained blocked and 8,046 CL&P customers – 28 percent of the town – were without power on Sunday afternoon.
