Greenwich School Board Delays Vote On New Chairman

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Board of Education is still without a leader after it once again voted to postpone a vote for a new chairman last week, according to The Greenwich Post.

The delay is the result of a deadlock within the school board, with Republicans backing Peter Sherr for the position while Democrats support Adriana Ospina, the Greenwich Post reported. It is the second time in three years the school board has delayed its vote for a new leader. 

The board will attempt to vote on a new school board chair at its meeting Thursday, Dec. 5, according to the Greenwich Post.
