Seven options were generated by School Bus Consultants and are based on many of the options originally identified by the School Start Time Steering Committee last fall.

The committee was presented all seven options for review at its bimonthly, public meeting March 18. The first community engagement session will be Wednesday at Central Middle School.

Each of the seven options presents start and end times for all elementary and secondary schools, as well as their budget implications. The estimated amount of extra sleep time minutes gained for high school students also is included with each option. The options also are accompanied by a set of comments from the consultants.

The meetings will allow parents, staff, students and the community to share their feedback. A comprehensive list of dates and times for the sessions can be found on the district’s website, as well as listed below.

A parent, student and staff survey will be disseminated April 13-27. The survey will provide another opportunity for the district to ascertain preferences and perspectives regarding the bell-time options.
