Greenwich Rescue Workers Demonstrate Car Crash For Students

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The sirens blared, the emergency crews rushed to the heavily damaged car and checked on the driver and passengers -- but it was only a demonstration for Greenwich High School students as part of Safe Driving Day.

Don't worry, it's only a demonstration! Greenwich police and fire officials practice the steps they take at a life-threatening car accident in front of an audience of Greenwich High School Students on May 3, 2013.

Students were able to visit information booths about driver safety between classes, with the dramatic demonstration taking place during Friday's lunch break.

A group of more than 100 students gathered to watch Greenwich police, fire, and emergency medical service personnel pretend to rescue three teens from a wrecked car.

Police also demonstrated a field sobriety test and "arrested" the driver of the car.
