GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Library will offer extended hours to accommodate the study needs of high school students during mid-term exams in January.

Students can use the library as a quiet study space during exams, both as individuals and as groups. Library staff will be available to assist with reference questions.

The Main Library will remain open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Thursday, Jan.21 and Monday, Jan. 25 for public and private school exam weeks. The library also will remain open until 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24. There will be no extended hours Friday and Saturday as the regular schedule applies.

The Library Café will extend its hours until 7 p.m. on extended-hours weekdays so students can purchase study break snacks. The café is closed Sundays.

“We are pleased to welcome Greenwich students to the library during their exams," said Barbara Ormerod-Glynn, Greenwich Library Director. Our commitment to extended hours and our central location has made the Library a popular place to study among local students.”

The library will be open late primarily for students, but anyone can use the facility during these extended hours. The noise level in the library may be a little higher than usual, both during extended hours and regular library hours on exam days.
